Compliance team this summer and play a hands on role supporting projects and
initiatives that help keep our business running safely, effectively and
responsibly.
The Role:
As a Risk and Compliance intern, you’ll get the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and gain hands on experience in a supportive and collaborative team. You’ll get to work on a variety of real business projects, build practical skills, and learn how risk and compliance help keep an organisation running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated student who is
eager to gain practical experience and build a strong foundation for their
future career. If you’re in your second or third year of study, naturally curious,
organised, comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders and excited to
learn how risk and compliance support business success, this could be the
perfect summer role for you.
What you will be doing:
- Monitoring shared inboxes, triaging emails and directing them to the appropriate person in the team
- Assisting with incident and issue management processes, including following up with stakeholders for additional information and to ensure that required actions have been completed prior to incident closure
- Assisting with month-end risk and compliance reporting processes, including extracting information from our risk management system, performing data analysis and adding to reporting pack
- Assist with review and uplift of risk and compliance training materials
- Assist with risk and compliance policy reviews
- Assist with maintenance of and update of various specialised registers we have in our risk management system
- Assist
with assurance reviews of processes and controls
What we are looking for:
- Second or third year of study
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and an organised approach to your work.
- The confidence to ask questions and engage with stakeholders across the business.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
- An interest in risk, compliance, governance, audit, business, law, or a related field
