Finance Systems Lead

This role is reporting to the Group Financial Controller

The purpose of this role is to design, configure, implement, maintain, and customise the financial systems that store and process financial and non-financial (where necessary) data within the organisation, serving as a change agent to identify organisational improvements needed, and design systems and controls to implement those changes. The role will also support the wider finance team in review, reengineer, implement, and document key finance processes to gain operational efficiency and enhance controls.

iN This role, YOU will:

Do-the-Doing

  • Validate changes by testing.
  • Train users on the new/updated operating systems and provide support.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Perform design, implement and upgrades of finance information systems to meet the business and user needs.
  • Routine and ad-hoc Finance systems administration and maintenance tasks for the ERP, Expenses and Travel system.
  • Examine and evaluate current systems, including a review of financial systems to identify and recommend corrections for financial errors including process improvements.
  • Identify system requirements in order to design fully automated processes.
  • Consult with the wider Finance team and users to determine the needs of the system, track additional requirements and features.
  • Learn and develop expertise of various data sources.
  • Document all processes and training needed, including interfaces between new and legacy systems.
  • Collaborate between IT team and developers to update systems.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or information technology.
  • 4-6 years of proven Accounting Systems Analyst experience.
  • Process improvement qualification (beneficial).
  • Expertise in NetSuite (or similar) and broader business information systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage time, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • High numeric competency and adaptability to change.
  • Proactive team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to personal development.
