Reporting into the Head of Strategic Delivery, the Change & Delivery Lead is responsible for shaping, implementing and embedding effective change management approaches across key strategic programmes. As the organisation enters a phase of substantial growth and transformation, this role will be central to translating strategy into action, ensuring initiatives are delivered well and that change is understood, supported and adopted across the business. What you’ll be doing
- Partner with key stakeholders to design and embed agile, fit‑for‑purpose change management frameworks that support Avanti’s strategy.
- Work closely with Marketing and People & Culture to ensure a consistent, aligned approach to change across the business.
- Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Delivery to identify priority initiatives requiring structured change leadership, taking end‑to‑end ownership of change planning and execution.
- Lead and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration to drive strong adoption of change across the organisation.
- Deliver assigned strategic initiatives end to end, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Keep end users and customers front of mind when designing and communicating change.
- Continuously look for better ways of working through a curious, improvement‑focused mindset.
- Apply agile thinking, adapting approaches as priorities and environments evolve.
- Proactively problem‑solve, applying critical thinking and escalating only when required to unblock progress.
You’ll bring:
- 7+ years’ experience in change, delivery, or transformation roles within the NZ financial services sector.
- Expertise in change management planning and delivery within a medium-sized organisation
- Hands-on experience delivering change involving lending platforms, credit processes, or loan origination/management systems (advantageous).
- Strong capability to manage multiple concurrent delivery streams while maintaining quality and managing dependencies.
- Proven end‑to‑end delivery experience across strategic, operational, and technology change initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial services processes, products, customer journeys, and regulatory obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, engage and drive alignment across cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Skilled facilitator, comfortable leading workshops, problem‑solving sessions, and decision‑making forums.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complexity and connect with diverse audiences.
