About the role

Motorcentral Technologies - part of Avanti Finance Group - is a leading provider of dealership management software and digital solutions to New Zealand's motor vehicle industry. We're growing, and we're looking for a Dealer Solutions Consultant to own a territory across Christchurch and the wider South Island.

You'll look after a group of existing dealership clients and grow the value they get from our services, while getting in front of prospective dealerships and bringing them on board. It's a consultative, solutions-based sales role with a genuinely diverse product set behind you.

What you'll be selling

This isn't a one-product pitch. You'll represent a full suite of dealership solutions:

  • Dealership Management System (DMS) - the core platform!
  • Dealer websites & digital presence
  • Social media advertising
  • Automated CRM
  • Review & reputation tools
  • Consumer finance integration (via Avanti Finance)
There's a real learning curve - and for the right person, that's the fun part.

What we're looking for

Above all, curiosity - the ability to ask the next question, uncover a dealer's frustrations and opportunities, and connect them back to a solution. Beyond that:

  • A genuine passion for cars and the automotive industry
  • Strong relationship building skills and emotional intelligence
  • A consultative, solutions focused approach - listen first, then sell
  • Numerical reasoning to progress a conversation on the spot
  • Commercial acumen and problem solving ability
  • Confidence picking up new technology and software quickly
Automotive industry experience (dealership, F&I, or a Motorcentral background) is a real advantage - but if you're new to the industry with a real passion for cars and the right attributes, we'd love to hear from you.
