The role
Reporting to the Head of Technical Delivery, this Senior Business Analyst role sits at the centre of complex, high‑impact initiatives - helping turn business needs into well defined, deliverable outcomes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Technology and the wider business to build a strong understanding of our systems, processes, and customer journeys. This is a hands on role where you’ll bring structure to ambiguity, ask the right questions, and translate ideas into clear requirements that support quality, agile delivery.
You’ll play a key role in shaping solutions, influencing decisions, and helping teams deliver meaningful change.
What you'll do
- Quickly build a clear end‑to‑end understanding of initiatives, including scope, requirements, risks, dependencies, and measures of success.
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops with subject matter experts to clarify problems, explore options, and recommend practical, value focused solutions.
- Own the requirements lifecycle - from discovery and documentation through to prioritisation, refinement, and change management.
- Write clear and well structured user stories and acceptance criteria to support iterative, agile delivery.
- Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring shared understanding and alignment throughout delivery.
- Partner closely with delivery teams during build and test phases, supporting refinement and issue resolution as needed.
- Work flexibly across a shared delivery pool, contributing to strategic programmes, business transformation, and project work.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst working in agile environments, ideally within financial services.
- Must have a strong experience working with financial services platforms and processes – ideally having worked on large transformation in this area.
- A structured, analytical approach to problem‑solving, with confidence to challenge assumptions and influence a range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience facilitating workshops, documenting requirements, and supporting delivery teams through change.
- Clear, confident communication
skills, with the ability to work at pace in a dynamic and evolving
environment.
