Senior Financial Accountant
Avanti Finance Group is a privately owned non-bank lender operating across New Zealand, and Australia. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the wider Finance function and the business.
As Senior Financial Accountant, you can expect to:
- Create value to our Group through reporting and analysis, compliance and audit, project contribution and change execution, with stakeholder management and an appetite for learning and development at front of mind, at all times.
- Preserve value through your robust internal control development and maintenance, support of tax compliance, and timely accurate processing of month end journals and reconciliations.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A Bachelors degree, preferably with CA or CPA qual and at least 5 years experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong accounting software knowledge and Excel super user ability.
- Up to date knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and tax regulations in NZ.
- A curious mind with a communications focus, and hunger for continuous improvement.
