The role
The Recruitment Advisor is pivotal in delivering a seamless recruitment experience at Avanti during a period of heightened demand across New Zealand and Australia. Reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture and collaborating with colleagues throughout ANZ, this 12-month fixed term contract provides hands-on involvement in end-to-end recruitment. The role is focused on supporting the organisation’s growth, transformation, and evolving operational needs by identifying, attracting and securing top talent.
This position is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in internal recruitment and talent acquisition. You will exercise sound judgement and develop confidence as you manage recruitment activities, demonstrate curiosity in learning new processes and making current processes even better while you get a deeper understanding of employment frameworks as Avanti continues to grow and transform.

- Diving straight into end-to-end recruitment, collaborating closely with our Talent & Workforce Planning Lead to deliver a consistent, values-led hiring experience. Get on the tools and make an immediate impact.
- Becoming the trusted go-to for candidates and hiring leaders, ensuring clear, proactive communication from first contact to appointment. Build your own reputation as a connector and problem-solver.
- Bringing your continuous improvement ideas to help refine recruitment processes and enhance candidate experiences as Avanti grows.
- Building your expertise and confidence in recruitment delivery and decision-making, with plenty of space to learn from the best.
- Enabling the candidate journey from screening to offer, ensuring every candidate receives respectful, timely communication. Set the bar for candidate care and accountability.
- Owning job advertising and proactive sourcing, reviewing CVs and preparing shortlists. As you drive your own results you'll literally see the difference your work makes.
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and facilitating candidate experience.
- Strong communication skills, acting as a proactive primary contact for candidates and stakeholders throughout the hiring process.
- Experience in job advertising, candidate sourcing, CV review, and shortlisting in collaboration with hiring leaders.
- Proven organisational skills in coordinating interviews and maintaining accurate recruitment records for compliance.
- Commitment to supporting the continuous improvement of recruitment practices and delivering a positive, values-led hiring experience.
