FINANCIAL ANALYST - TREASURY


This role is reporting to the Treasury Operations Manager, in the Treasury Team.

The purpose of this role is to support Avanti through providing effective and efficient cash management, funding support, and financial risk management reporting and analysis. This role works collaboratively with other Treasury Analysts and wider members of the Treasury team, and assists with the delivery, development, and maintenance of Treasury reporting and analysis.

key outputs and accountabilities

  • Perform and review securitisation functions including Receivable Asset sales construction and monthly reporting.
  • Assist with preparation, monitoring and reporting of Group daily & monthly cash flow management and forecasts.
  • Assist with Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) monthly reporting on key financial data and business performance.
  • Preparation and review of regular reporting to external parties on securitisation and other funding vehicles, including the company’s bankers, investors, and trustees, ensuring all reports are meaningful, timely, accurate and relevant.
  • Provide Financial analysis and Treasury expertise to the Funding Manager and Group Treasurer in the creation and management of new business ventures and funding structures utilised by Avanti Treasury. Contribute to optimising funding facilities & cost of funds. Support and leverage the effective use of Avanti’s Treasury Management System and other financial and risk management systems within Avanti.
  • Provide analysis and input into Funding, Liquidity, Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange risk management across the Avanti group of entities. Analyse and enhance existing systems, processes, applications, and reports to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial and operational reporting.
  • Assist and lead ad-hoc financial or Treasury analysis.
  • Support and assist other members of the Treasury Operations team, and the wider Avanti Treasury team.
  • You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties reasonably requested by your Manager. 

Relationships

  • Direct Reports - This role has no Direct Reports.
  • Internal - Relationships across the business, primarily with the Treasury and Finance teams.
  • External - Trustees, Funders, Banks, Investors, Rating Agencies.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Business, economics, finance degree or similar.
  • 2-5 years of post-degree experience. Preferably in Treasury, Finance, Operations, Risk Management, or Reporting roles within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Good knowledge of financial markets, systems, and products preferred.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with critical thinking and judgment ability.
  • Strong ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and adapt well, multi-tasking in a changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication & relationship management skills, with strong written and verbal skills. Strong collaborative skills, with a team ethos.
  • Process improvement mindset and data analysis skills is favourable.
  • Initiative, and willingness to learn whilst confident in working promptly and efficiently.
  • Consistent, high levels of integrity and reliability.
