Customer Services Specialist - 6 month contract

Avanti Finance is growing – fast

We’re on a mission to become the best specialist lending company in New Zealand and Australia, and we’re looking for ambitious, driven people to help get us there.

We’ve got bold goals and a clear vision for the future. That means exciting opportunities for those ready to champion new ideas, challenge the status quo, and grow alongside us.

If you’re hungry to make an impact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love turning ideas into action – you’ll feel right at home here.

The role

As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, playing a key role in delivering a friendly, helpful, and professional experience every time.

You’ll respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, help resolve issues, and ensure customers feel supported and informed throughout their interaction with us. This role suits someone who brings positive energy to their work, enjoys helping people, and can stay organised and calm in a fast‑paced environment.

Working closely with your team and internal stakeholders, you’ll manage multiple enquiries at once, update customer information accurately, and follow established processes to deliver consistent, high‑quality service. You’ll also contribute to a collaborative team culture where everyone supports each other to get the best outcomes for our customers.

This a 6-month contract

What you’ll bring

  • A positive attitude, strong energy, and a genuine passion for helping people — customer service experience is preferred, but mindset and approach are just as important.
  • Experience in a customer service environment, whether that’s retail, hospitality, reception, contact centres, or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage customers in a clear, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer queries efficiently.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player who works well with colleagues across different teams and departments.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and take on a variety of responsibilities as needed.
  • Comfortable using email and phone systems, with confidence learning new programs and tools.
