Credit Risk Analyst

This role is reporting to the Head of Credit
The purpose of this role is to assist with the oversight of credit risk across the Avanti group, including CCCFA compliance, the development, delivery and management of lending scorecards, the creation and insights derived through credit related data.
In This role, YOU will:
Do-the-Doing
- Use SQL to extract and analyze data, identify trends, support risk assessments and drive continuous improvement
Develop and maintain credit dashboards in data visualisation tools such as power BI. - Assist in tracking market, credit, and operational risks, preparing reports for internal teams. Help develop new ways to detect and mitigate financial risks, thinking beyond traditional approaches.
- Stay updated on trends, regulatory changes, and analytical techniques to enhance decision-making.
- Ongoing review and update of credit related policies and procedures.
- Monitoring of credit scorecard outcomes and performance.
- Supporting delivery of the hindsight framework. Completion of product, process and segment deep dives.
- Assist in developing processes and procedures that support the business to meet its business and strategic aims.

The successful candidate will have:
- An understanding of the lending / credit process, ideally with 3 years' financial services experience.
- Proficient in SQL
- Ability to problem solve and use initiative and creativity to drive outcomes.
- Preferred knowledge and experience using data analytics and/or data visualisation tools.
- Able to prioritise workload, work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Be masterful at multi-tasking and keeping pace in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with a one-team approach.
