Avanti Finance (BFS) is looking for an office‑based Business Development Manager to support and grow our intermediaries channel across Australia. Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Australia Intermediaries, this role focuses on building strong, trusted relationships with brokers and introducers - without being out on the road.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded BDM who enjoys structured, phone‑based relationship management, adding value through insight, training and responsiveness, and driving new business through consistent engagement.
The role
As an office‑based BDM, you’ll promote and develop BFS Avanti Finance within our chosen markets by creating strong connections with both new and existing introducers. You’ll act as a key link between introducers and the wider BFS / Avanti Finance teams, ensuring relationships are well managed, informed and supported.
You’ll play an important role in training, market insight and service delivery - helping position BFS Avanti Finance as a partner of choice.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain a strong understanding of new business budgets, strategy, and long‑term goals
- Proactively establish and grow referral networks with introducers
- Develop and manage your own strategy and monthly priorities to meet new business targets
- Provide meaningful input into wider Sales and Marketing planning
- Build and maintain Key Account Strategies with regular reviews
- Manage a clear weekly and monthly call plan with defined objectives
- Deliver ongoing training to introducers across lending standards, disclosure, and new products
- Coordinate introducer promotions and engagement initiatives
- Create opportunities for lenders and BFS staff to connect with introducers and strengthen relationships
- Stay across market trends, competitor activity, pricing and credit appetite
- Take ownership of introducer and customer queries, resolving issues efficiently
- Liaise with BFS / Avanti Finance teams on complex matters
About you
You’re
a strong, commercially focused salesperson who enjoys building relationships
and delivering results through structured, office‑based engagement. Ideally,
you’ll bring experience in financial services, lending, or an intermediated
environment.
You’ll also bring:
- Proven sales or relationship management experience within finance
- Confidence working autonomously while managing a defined portfolio
- Strong organisation, follow‑up and call discipline
- Commercial acumen and comfort working to targets
- Clear communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
You’re someone who adds value through consistency, insight and reliability, and who enjoys being accountable for results.
